It makes no sense to me that there isn't a line out the door at Mama Chiquita Bakery. I don't have to drive to Williams anymore to get the perfect Torta on fresh, in house baked Telera rolls (shout out La Fortuna Bakery in Williams). I can walk two blocks to Mama Chiquita instead. Try one and thank me later. I had to force myself to try the tacos and not get another Torta, and holy cow, I'm so glad I did. Their carnitas are the best I've ever had. So fresh, perfect and affordable. Order at the counter and they give you a slip of paper to bring to the "Taquero" outside and he hooks it up. So good. Oh, and you also have your beautiful Mexican baked goodies, including fresh churros filled with vanilla crème. Ridiculous. They're only open Friday through Sunday, so do yourself a favor and set an alert on your phone. See you there! ”

“ It's pricey but the tortas de pollo and asada are so worth it! They're so good! We also tried the tacos de tripa but they're were not washed properly as we had mouthfuls of "dirt/sand". Other than that, the tacos had good flavor and the sauce was perfect. Hopefully they wash them better next time we go. ”
